ARG EAM 07

ARG EAM 01Córdoba houses the Escuela de Aviación Militar of the Fuerza Aerea de Argentina. They are in the process of rejuvenating their fleet. Latest acquisition is the T-6C+ Texan II.Seen here is E-300 retracting its gear shortly after take off.

ARG EAM 08

Four T-6C+ have been delivered to date. Budget is always a big issue and of 24 required, only 12 could be acquired. The remaining eight aircraft are still to be delivered.ARG EAM 04

Students thus far used the EMB312A. It was being used intensively for a couple of decades since its delivery from late 1987.

In 2009, a handful of T-27 airframes were loaned from Brazil to permit sufficient serviceable machines. These were returned after enough aircraft were overhauled and active again.

The Tucano served FAA well but got long in the tooth, therefore its successor in the shape of the T-6C+ was much needed. Currently the Tucanos are painted in a toned down grey scheme. But that used to be this attractive camouflage pattern.

Before proceeding to the Tucano, students first get trained in the Grob 120TP. This agile turboprop aircraft was bought from the German manufacturer in 2013 and superseded the Beech B45 Mentors.

Another new bird is the locally assembled Tecnam P2002JF used for basic training. Eight are in use.

Most air force academies feature a gliding school. Córdoba is no exception and seen here is an Aeroboero 180RVR PG-451 towing Grob 103 V-07 aloft.

Based at Rio Cuarto, with the Area Material, is this Cessna A182K PG-346. The host of these aircraft are operated by the Instituto Nacional de Aviacion Civil (INAC) from Morón though.
